I am pleased to welcome you to our modern practice. I founded the private practice in Frankfurt's Westend in September 2024. I will provide you with personalized and comprehensive internal medicine care, focusing on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

I have built a well-functioning network of colleagues to ensure my patients receive the best possible treatment. I am internationally oriented and offer all my treatments in English. I look forward to welcoming you to my practice and helping you improve your heart health.

From 2012 to 2018, I was a resident at the Medical Clinic III (Internal Medicine and Cardiology) at Markus Krankenhaus in Frankfurt. My work was in cardiology and electrophysiology. I focused on ultrasound diagnostics of the heart and blood vessels, in particular. In addition to cardiological training, I received comprehensive training in other medical specialties, including internal medicine, gastroenterology/hematology, and nephrology. I also worked in the intensive care unit for over a year. I gained invaluable experience in acute and intensive medical care for internal medicine and surgical patients.

From 2018 to 2021, I worked as a senior physician at CCB (Cardioangiologisches Centrum Bethanien). I was the head of the ultrasound lab at Markus Krankenhaus, in addition to other responsibilities. I received comprehensive training from the leading experts in invasive cardiology in the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Markus and Bethanien Hospital, and I have extensive experience in performing and diagnosing coronary angiographies (cardiac catheter examinations). I have also worked in a research group on several research projects and publications. My dissertation focused on the invasive treatment of atrial fibrillation (ablation).

In 2021, I transferred to the ‘Facharztzentrum International’ practice in Frankfurt. Working closely with Dr Ala Wiener, I treated German-speaking and international patients comprehensively. I was responsible for the cardiovascular care of patients with a focus on prevention. The priority was the optimal management of secondary cardiological risk factors.

My extensive experience and training as a cardiologist and lipidologist allow me to provide comprehensive, individualized treatment based on the latest guidelines from leading specialist associations. I am particularly focused on preventing vascular complications and reducing mortality. I use the latest available technologies for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases.

As a sports cardiologist, I specialise in the cardiac medicine of athletes and active people. As a passionate sportsman, I am very familiar with the physical demands of competitive sport, the psychology of athletes and the complex physiology of movement in cardiovascular diseases.

I founded the private practice in Frankfurt's Westend in September 2024. In 2025, the practice was then expanded. My long-time colleague Dr. med. Verena Urban joined me and we founded the cardiology joint practice.

Every patient who comes to our private practice has been referred by a doctor – or comes to us at their own request. Since more and more doctors belong to large health systems that primarily work within their corporations, our practice remains one of the few independent, private practices in the region that offers personalized and comprehensive heart care. This is based on the European cardiological guidelines of the professional associations.
